Compensation: Hiring salary range $15.00-$20 per hour
    (Hours Vary – 3-20 hours/wk) Recreation Instructor, will teach a variety of classes in our recreation centers - responsible or planning, instructing & supervising a specialized class or program. Examples of instruction include, but are not limited to: music, arts & crafts, sports, outdoor recreation, dance, cuisine, educational workshops, gardening, computers, wellness, fitness, aerobics, personal enhancement, preschool. Instruction may target preschool through adults. Hours may vary, approx. 5-15 hrs./wk. Instructor will plan, initiate, organize and instruct a class in a specialized recreation area; explain & demonstrate activity techniques to participants; prepare instructional materials & supplies; responsible for keeping accurate records, time sheets & attendance, for room set-up and clean-up. Must be able to demonstrate positive customer service skills when communicating with participants, parents & staff. Graduation from high school or GED equivalency is required. Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license. Final applicants must show proof of registration for Selective Service (pursuant to Section 2.2-2804, Code of Virginia).
